Alan Watts. Ram Dass. etc.LSD is a powerful entheogen, creating a mystical, spiritual experience. But the trick is to attain these psychedelic induced states of consciousness through sober meditation.

does anyone know if there is a connection between the LSD movement in the 60's (Leary) and zen buddism or nirvana?

While sitting on the toilet and letting the waste go away, I started to meditate and to concentrate in a picture nearby of this girl as nature made her so fine, so attractive that my mind went wild to the point that I saw her coming out and took me to nirvana where we both had the greatest sex ever.At the end of the meditation I realized it wasn't anymore than just a delusion which became an everlasting illusion.

The book is "Zen Flesh, Zen Bones", actually.I wore out my first copy I got over 20 years ago and recently had to replace it. A good read for an introductory "feel" to Zen :)

Indeed. Too bad most don't realize this - world would be much much different than it is now. |
