heres what each step does chemically1)crush with sea salt and limestone (NaCl and CaCO3) - salt is mechanical abrasive and Calcium carbonate increases the solubility of cocaine in non-polar solvent (deprotonizes the basic amine group)2)gasoline acts as organic solvent to dissolve the cocaine in the non-polar phase3)filter to get rid of pulp
